A good friend of mine and I had planned this trip for about a month, but we never committed to it. Then, at the last minute, my friend hit me up and said, “Let’s go.” It was during spring break, and the weather looked perfect, so we decided to go north of San Francisco.
We first met up at a nearby gas station, got picked up, and drove north of San Francisco. Once we arrived, we took in the view, which felt unreal. Everything felt like a dream. There were a few people around, but it still felt like we were alone.
We hiked toward the tree nets and took some pictures along the way. Eventually, we found it and climbed up into a tree net about 50 feet high, maybe even more. Once we were up there, I looked out toward the west and saw a stunning view. Everything was quiet and peaceful up here. It looked so compact from above, and it felt surreal.
We took a moment to enjoy the scenery and snapped some more pictures. After that, we relaxed on the net for about 20 minutes before climbing down. We then hiked back to the entrance of the trail and continued up a small hill. As we reached the top, we found a bench and decided to sit down and talk.
We took a few more pictures before heading back down to the car. It was an incredible and unforgettable experience that day.
